These terms govern your use of Cardstock at cardstockapi.com. By using the service you agree to them.
The service
Cardstock generates social share images and checks link previews. We may change or improve the service over time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
Accounts and API keys
Your API key is a secret. You are responsible for activity under it. Keep it server-side. Tell us if it is exposed and we will help you replace it.
Plans, trials and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Each plan includes a monthly card allowance shown on the pricing page. Plans start with a 7-day free trial; unless you cancel before it ends, your card is charged the plan price. Prices may change with 30 days' notice. Taxes may be added where required.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from your account page. Access continues until the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law or at our discretion; email us if something went wrong and we will make it right.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to generate unlawful, deceptive, hateful or infringing content, to attack or overload it, to resell raw access to the API, or to evade rate limits. We may suspend accounts that do.
Your content
You keep ownership of the text and images you provide and the cards generated from them. You give us permission to process and cache them to run the service. You are responsible for having the right to use any content you submit.
Free tier
Free cards carry a small "Made with Cardstock" mark and are limited and rate limited. We may change free limits.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
